At Shades of Sapphire Ragdolls, we only breed our female cats once a year for their optimum health and well-being. This means that unlike some catteries that operate like kitten mills and are only interested in cranking out as many cats as possible for profit, our kitten availability is limited.

We do not keep a traditional “waiting” list in which a monetary deposit is required before a litter is even born, as we feel this is unethical. Instead, Shades of Sapphire maintains a mailing list that sends out a birth announcement for each new litter. When these kittens reach 8 weeks old and we are able to determine their color, pattern, and gender, we then accept a $200 deposit for preferred kittens, reserving it just for you! At this time, a time will be scheduled for you to pick up your kitten at our cattery, or, if you prefer, delivered to you.
